Follow Up Commentary for Letter to General Alexander

At the top is Ms. Law (Nancy Gertner) ... she is wondering how the 'Political Offense Exception to Extradition' will play out for Edward Snowden ...

Now then, the human mind has hidden powers ... it has already been proven that thought can move matter via a human to machine interface (amputee-thought-controlled-prosthetic) ... what if a machine can effect matter via thought without such an interface by using very extraordinary technology that  is not yet in the public domain? ... it would certainly be in the interest of national security to find out ... what if the machine can snatch thought out of the air ... anybody's thoughts ... and read the thoughts as though reading information on a computer ... in fact, a computer would help them read the thoughts as well as identify who those thoughts are coming from --- > my goodness, what an egregious invasion of privacy! ... what if the machine could subtly influence individuals by lining up with their thoughts and causing them to do various things like sing or dance while taking a shower ... they wouldn't know the difference since they would already be prone to singing and dancing in the shower anyway ... what if it could cause a person that is prone to having angry outbursts have an angry outburst ... it would certainly be in the interest of national security to find out ... there are angels and demons here ... such a machine could help to rehabilitate mentally disturbed people ... as well as criminally prone people ... it could help children be academic superstars in school ... my, my, my  ... biomedical engineering technology such that science fiction is pushed to brink of science fact ... imagine the benefits for cancer treatment ... non-invasive surgery that is better than the use of lasers ... and uhhhhhhhh, telekinesis ... or is it psychokinesis ...

You know, General Alexander, I was just thinking ... it would have been nice if you and I were college buddies ... but uh,   oh wait ... we are 7 years apart ... perhaps we can play golf sometime ... look forward  to meeting you ...
